Been bingeing a lot of spy thrillers on the streaming platforms lately. The Recruit and Treason on Netflix, and Slow Horses on Apple TV+. All quite amazing. Each offering a different storytelling style and absolutely superb casting. I am particularly enthralled by Noah Centineo in The Recruit. Dude is seriously expanding his wheelhouse. Also, it’s nice to see and hear Charlie Cox act with a British accent on Treason. I wonder if that’s how he actually talks? 🤔 And Gary Oldman as always hits it out of the ballpark as a gross farty has-been spy on Slow Horses, which I thought was written by Will Smith, but it’s a different Will Smith, not the one that slaps comedians on national TV. 🥴
Anyhoo, if you’re in the mood for spy thrillers, any of these three will surely cut the mustard.
